Benefits To Homeschooling From a Kid's Point of View

Every single day was just the same when I wasn't home schooled. Wake up, get dressed, eat breakfast, and then go to school. It was the same all the time. Unless we had spirit week, which was only five days once a year. I never really thought about homeschooling.When we started it was very different, but in a fun way. There are a number of different benefits to homeschooling, but I only came up with a few different things. First, we learn about God and the Bible from my mom and dad! This is one of best parts of homeschooling. Second, we do not have to make up school. If we have doctor appointments we just bring our school with us. If any of us our sick (but not that sick to read a book or play games) then we can do school in bed. We also don't have snow days. Since I am the kid doing school, I really would love to have snow days! But if you really think about it, you will be doing school in June because of all the days that you missed. Third, when our family has field trips, we have really fun field trips. Like one time, my family went to the Air Force museum and spent almost the whole day there. We went to the IMAX theater and learned about the different space missions. It's amazing that you can learn while still having fun. In 2009 my family went to the Creation museum and learned all about the whole world! Fith, while kids who are in a school have homework when they come home, I don't. I finish a subject and then do the homework for it right away. That way I'm not doing school until 10:00 pm! Fourth, every day when I get up, I am freezing cold, and our dress code doesn't say anything about not wearing a blanket. After I get dressed, I can just grab a blanket and start school. It's the next best thing to doing school in bed! Last, when it is lunch time in our house, we get to listen to Adventures in Odyssey while we eat! It's almost like having popcorn while watching a movie ... Okay, so not quite, but it is fun! So that was it! Although there are a bunch more benefits to homeschooling, that was what I came up with. One of the things that I love best is that I get to spend time with my family all day...Everyday of the week! I love homeschooling!
