Me in our back yard!

Hi, my name is Carissa Faith. I started homeschooling when I was in 2nd grade. I was seven years old! Now I am doing part 6th and 7th grade, and am 11. There are many ways that I think homeschooling is fun!

First, we don't have any homework after school because we do it between subjects. So, if I do math, I do the homework after watching it, then start another subject. This is nice because after school we can play or do something other than homework!

Second, we each have our own laptop computers that some one gave us!! Of course we can't go on line. . . . Even though we are not allowed on line, it is fun to have them anyway because when we go on trips, we can bring them with us. We usually bring four laptops for our twelve passenger van with four rows. Makes sense, right? We also write papers on our computers, than print them out.

Third, is that we don't have snow days. This may seem like a disadvantage, and it is, but in the long run it is an advantage. This is because we don't have to make up any school at the end of the year. Hurray! We can get done with school earlier!

Finally, we don't have to ride in a school bus. I like this because in the freezing cold mornings, we can stay in our nice warm houses instead of in a cold school bus! A school bus has to pick up a many of people. Because of this, it takes longer to get to school and to start school. With homeschooling, you can just start!

Ever since we started homeschooling since I was in 2nd grade, it has been lots of fun! Though there are some disadvantages, most are advantages. Homeschooling is really a lot of fun! Maybe you should try it!
